My heart was a stable
where Jesus
was born
With animals,
darkness,
and dirt.
He made it a temple
for service
and prayer,
Yet still many beasts
of the stable
were there;
Belligerent;
stubborn;
wayward;
forlorn--
So He cast each one out --
though it hurt.
You've used these
to bargain,
to do your own thing:
They're a sacrifice
long
overdue;
Prepare Me a throne-room,
then yield
and obey;
When this earthly temple
has vanished
away;
Can you reign forever
with Me ...
asked my King,
If I have not
reigned
in you?
