Why did He come?
God tells us Why:
He came to keep
all prophecy
from Bethlehem
to Calvary.
He came to preach
Good News to men
and free those chained
by guilt and sin.
He came to show
us how to live;
to overcome,
obey, forgive.
He came to crush
the Serpent foe
who craves our souls
for hell below.
He came to die,
and dying, take
our curse of death
for His Name's sake.
He rose! He won
our lasting bliss!
